Choose your dates on the property's calendar and follow the booking steps. Most properties are booked as a request: we pass it to the owner, who confirms it, and we contact you about payment. Please read our Essential Reading terms before booking.
Properties marked Instant booking are paid for in full by card when you book, and your booking is confirmed straight away. A card booking fee of 3.55% of the rental is added; the booking pages show the rental, the fee and the total before you pay.
The earliest time you can check in to your accommodation and the latest you can check out are stated on your confirmation documents, under the 'Accommodation' and 'Information' section.

Most public car parks and roadside parking can be paid for either with scratch cards or with a mobile app. Books of scratch cards can be bought from shops and garages. Look out for the signs in car parks showing how long you may park and how to pay. Free parking is sometimes allowed for set times using the yellow disc clock supplied by parish halls.
The Channel Islands are not part of the United Kingdom. There is a limited reciprocal health agreement for UK nationals, but related charges are expensive. There is no European reciprocal health agreement: you will be charged commercial rates for all medical treatment.
Holiday insurance is also considered essential in case you have to cancel your booking or need to claim for personal possessions, loss of money, disrupted or cancelled travel, personal liability or other matters that appropriate insurance would cover.
To start comparing cover, get an obligation-free quote from GuestFirst. Insurers provide varying degrees of cover relating to Covid-19 and you must decide which cover is best before making a final decision. Financial services legislation means we are not able to advise you; however, we are led to believe that some cover for some circumstances relating to Covid-19 is provided by these companies, and there may be other and better choices: Go Compare, Trailfinders, Coverwise.
Make sure you have adequate insurance and keep a note of the make, model, serial number and so on of valuable items such as cameras and jewellery. Remember there are limits to the cover provided by holiday insurance.
