Hints & tips
Dogs on board
Dog-friendly cabins exist on the Portsmouth ferry service (along with a doggy toilet). It is anticipated dogs can also be left in the car, however, this is an adjustment to the original plan and is currently being debated. Fast ferry services from Poole involve the dog remaining in the car. Bear in mind there are limitations to the number of dogs that can be carried on any single service and early booking is recommended.
When to book
As expected, fluid pricing applies on all routes and early booking offers are unlikely to be repeated. Whilst we do not believe there are any concerns with capacity at this time, we do believe that it is likely that prices are at their best now.
Flexibility
- The fast ferry and conventional ferry can be mixed to achieve the best combination.
- Foot passenger fares are available on all sailings: you don't have to bring your car!
- Duty free shopping is available on all services with some very attractive deals available.
Note that ferry fares fluctuate based on availability and demand, just like the airlines. The fare becomes fixed once you commit to a booking.
