Facilities at Radio Tower
JERSEY'S DIVERSE HISTORY is well represented in this unique landmark. Built by the Germans as part of Hitler's Atlantic Wall defences this 5 gun tower was one of 15,000 structures positioned from Norway as far as the Loire. The reinforced cement tower is a truly imposing sight from both land and sea. More recently the tower has been used by the Jersey Harbours department as a radio tower. This is the reason the lounge diner has excellent views over Jersey and the gulf of St Malo. A great location for bird and boat watching. More closely Corbiere lighthouse, which is another historic Jersey Heritage site, can be clearly seen. Cliff top and coastal walks abound. The nearby bar offers meals.
Maximum 6 adults. Accommodation is spread over six floors. Top floor lounge diner is housed in the glass surrounded radio room and lookout post. Galley style kitchen. 3 Small double bedrooms (beds smaller than average). 2 Shower rooms.
